Prospect Updates – Oct. 8, 2018

Minor league updates from Jason Robertson, Liam Hawel, Riley Tufte, Dawson Barteaux, and more.

Texas Stars Open Season 1-1

After winning on Opening Night, the Texas Stars dropped their second game to the Milwaukee Admirals 4-3 in overtime.  Dillon Heatherington, Nikas Hansson, and Joel L’Esperance all scored for the Stars.  Michael Mersch added two assists.  Rookie goaltender Colton Point made his AHL debut in the loss making 21 saves.

AHL 

Mersch leads the Stars in scoring with three points in two games.  L’Esperance scored in both games over the weekend and has two points in two games.  Point and Landon Bow both appeared in games this weekend with Bow allowing just one goal.

NCAA

Winger Riley Tufte has one point in one game played.  Goalie Jake Oettinger is expected to appear in his first game later this week.  Defenseman Joe Cecconi is scoreless through one game.

OHL 

Winger Jason Robertson has eight goals in seven games this season with Kingston.  His overall line is odd with eight goals, zero assists, and eight penalty minutes in the seven games.  Center Liam Hawel is off to a career start with four goals and 10 points in six games.  Center Ty Dellandrea has struggled to put up points in the early part of the season with just two points in six games.

WHL 

Defenseman Dawson Barteaux is flying out of the gate with eights points in seven games.  Forward Brett Davis has five points in four games.  Winger Jermaine Loewen has three points in six games.
