Stars Relentless In Comeback Against Ducks

The Dallas Stars top the Anaheim Ducks 5-3 after a wild second period and comeback from a three-goal deficit.

The Dallas Stars were down 3-0 in the second period of last night’s game against the Anaheim Ducks. Dallas teams of the past may have folded but this year’s group embraced its coach’s matra of being relentless posting 30 shots on goal in the second period alone and coming back to win the game 5-3.

Jamie Benn, Alexander Radulov, John Klingberg, Connor Carrick, and Radek Faksa all scored goals for the Stars. Radulov has scored in all four games this season and Tyler Seguin has 10 points in the four games.

After starting the game together, Coach Jim Montgomery split up his top line putting Blake Comeau on a line with Benn and Seguin while moving Radulov to the second line with Jason Spezza and Val Nichushkin.

The move worked as Nichushkin and Radulov displayed instant chemistry. Montgomery is planning to play the two Russians on a line again on Monday when the Stars play the Ottawa Senators.

It will be the first road game of the season for Dallas. Look for some more lineup shuffling as the Stars play their first set of back-to-back games this week with Ottawa on Monday and the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night.
