Justin Dowling Called Up

Forward Justin Dowling, not Denis Gurianov, was called up by the Dallas Stars. The 28-year-old has six points in seven games with the Texas Stars.

In some ways the move is a reward for a team guy. Dowling makes $225,000 in the AHL but the salary escalates to $650,000 in the NHL.

Dowling is expected to make his season debut on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Kings.
